Huge funds will soon be transferred from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to the central government. RBI has agreed to transfer funds to the central government. The RBI Board, headed by RBI Governor Shaktikantha Das, has agreed to set up a committee to review the additional funds. The transfer of funds was approved at the board meeting following the recommendations of the committee headed by Bimal Jalan.
Soon, the this will be cleared to transfer Rs 1,76,051 crore from the RBI to the central government. However, Urjit Patel, who was the governor of RBI in the past, has not accepted for the transaction hence has been asked to put down his papers,as a section of people claims.
