1200 old laws changed since 2014, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that 1200 obsolete laws have been amended or scrapped in the last 3 years to facilitate transparency in administration with support from digital technology.

Addressing the Asean conclave at Manila the Prime Minister said that Jan-dhan program has brought almost all poor into the banking network and made it possible to reach out benefits of all programs to them directly.

He said the simplification of industrial and investment policies has attracted huge foreign investment and the agenda is to make India as a manufacturing hub for all electronic, textile and other consumer products in the world.
