Mahesh praises Andhra Hospitals and Healing Little Hearts

Now-a-days any treatment related to heart is costing only in lakhs. Many needy and poor patients are selling their hard earned assets, exhausting their savings and resorting to loans. There have been few incidents of suicides of patients for not being able to cater to treatment expenses.

Andhra Hospitals based at Vijayawada has done a unique and noble work. They have conducted free surgeries and treatment to 19 children with heart ailments. Most of them are critical surgeries. UK based organisation “Healing Little Hearts” is organising ‘Pediatric, Cardiology and Cardiac Surgical Camp’ at Andhra Hospitals. This camp has started on 27 August and would be held till 9 September.

Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu responded on this noble cause. He praised Andhra Hospitals for this initiative and appreciated the efforts of the staff. Mahesh Babu also liked the dedication of staff at Andhra Hospitals and said that international quality of treatment is being extended through Healing Little Hearts.

Dr.P.V Ramanamurthy, MD of Andhra Hospitals said that they have done 52 free heart operations in 2017 and they are wishing to establish a heart institute with the support of Britain’s Healing Little Hearts organisation.

Dr.Vikram of Healing Little Hearts expressed that as per the present population and requirement, 7000 surgeries are to be done in a year. As part of their contribution to the society only 52 operations could be done. A team of 11 surgeons from UK and Australia have successfully completed the surgeries. Another camp is being planned for December 2017 in which utmost 20 surgeries can be done. invites philanthropists to join hands with Andhra Hospitals to help the needy.
