Returning officer for Nandyal bye-elections has rejected TDP’s complaint on their opposition party candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy and YSRCP compliant on Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy.
After scrutinising all the nomination papers of RO has clarified that the papers of both TDP and YSRCP are in order. Hence the controversy of complaints against each party is closed.
TDP have lodged a complaint stating that the affidavit submitted by Silpa Mohan Reddy is to be treated as invalid as Advocate Rama Tulasi Reddy’s notary licence has expired and they requested to cancel the nomination of their opposition party YSRCP candidate.
YSRCP has also filed a complaint that IT returns of TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy are not complete and demanded cancellation of nomination.
Returning Officer took a legal expert opinion and examined these two complaints. He said that there are few mistakes in the affidavit but they can be corrected. It is felt that the information disclosed by the candidate is of prime importance.
