Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao wants Telugu-speaking officers in every embassy in the seven Gulf countries and offered help from the state government if needed.
KTR says with the ever-increasing number of Telugu workers in Gulf countries, the presence of Telugu speaking officials would go a long way.
He also wanted that for persons who return to a country and gets stuck twice from where he/she was originally rescued by the Centre or state Govts, their passports may be canceled for five years.
Both center and state would provide assistance for people stuck abroad and their legal and health issues.
Telangana was at the forefront of passport verification and in transporting immigrants back home. It is also the first state where the digital verification programme e-sanad was started.
