The three capitals of Andhra Pradesh has been the subject of debate. The YS Jagan government has announced that the cities of Visakhapatnam and Kurnool will be made capitals along with Amravati. However, there was mixed reaction to the decision of the three capitals.
Speaking about the same, noted Telugu filmmaker Thammareddy Bharadwaj made a sensational comment, which would irk the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan.
“If not 3 capitals, let them (state government) develop 30 capitals. Amaravati will always continue to be the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Thousands of crores were already spent towards Amaravati and the state government should have allotted another Rs 2000 crores. But they are planning to shift the capital and that is not the right thing to do,” he said.
Telugu film industry is yet to openly react to YS Jagaj’s decision to develop three capitals in Andhra Pradesh. However, Thammareddy made his stand very clear. It would be really interesting to see if another noted personality from the industry will speak about it.
