Warner quits SRH captaincy

After being tagged in the ball-tampering saga at the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town Australian cricketer David Warner has stepped down as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad

His decision came ahead of the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League, the franchise confirmed on Wednesday (March 28) after he was tagged along with the Steve Smith, and Cameron Bancroft in changing the condition of the ball after the third day’s play in Newlands.

The troika now faces significant sanctions and have been sent back to Australia.The decision was expected especially after the rage against the three players and Australian team across the globe. Warner led the side to the playoffs in 2013 after taking over the captaincy.and led the team to a title win in 2016 in Bangalore and they finished fourth in the last edition.
