Sreeleela became a star heroine in Tollywood in a very short time by acting with top heroes and winning fans with her glamour and dance skills. However, her career is going through a slow phase now. Recently, Sreeleela made her entry into Tamil cinema with Parashakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara and starring Sivakarthikeyan. The film, made on a big budget of around ₹150 crore, released on January 10. As per industry buzz, Sreeleela reportedly charged only ₹1 crore for this film, while she earlier received ₹3–4 crore for Telugu movies with star heroes. Trade circles believe she reduced her pay to establish herself in Kollywood and make a strong comeback. She is also gaining nationwide attention with a special song in Pushpa 2 and is currently working in Bollywood with Kartik Aaryan.
